Having an online merchant account is useful for merchants who want to be able to accept credit card payments from the customers using the online payment mechanisms. What online merchant accounts do is the transfer the amount of finances the customer pays for a certain product or service to the bank account owned by the online merchant.

Nowadays, if you have and online shop or a service company, opening an online merchant account is a must. No matter the size of your business or its status, an online merchant account just makes things faster and easier for everybody.

An online merchant account will save you the trouble of calling your customers in order to discuss payment issues, reduce the paperwork you have to sign in order to make the transaction legitimate and will save you the trouble of updating the database whenever you make a new sale.

Due to various features such as the multi-currency payment option, an online merchant account facilitates transactions with people all over the world regardless of their geographical location or type of currency they use. In order to do so, the customers connect to your online merchant account using a gateway soft application or virtual terminal and then enter their credit card data in the specially designed credit card processor.

There are two ways of setting up an online merchant account. One of them is setting up a third party online merchant account, which is fast and easy. Although this only costs about 50 dollars, the processing charges can grow to be quite big. This is only recommended to new businesses and it will be in you best interest to change it to your own online merchant account when your business grows.

In order to create your own online merchant account you need to first meet requirements like having your well-established bank account and a high rate of fixed income or a good rating of your credit. Even if the fee for opening your own online merchant account is pretty high – around 500 dollars – you will not be required to pay additional processing fees whenever you make a transaction.

Considering that your business has increased, so did the number of your transactions; therefore the option of continuing to use the third party merchant account will result in fees and taxes that surpass by far the cost of setting up you own online merchant account.

You can either open up the merchant account through one of the existent providers or a bank that offers this kind of service. But setting up your own online merchant account through a bank is not an easy task, because the banks refuse this service to people with no experience or marketing history.

Your best bet is to find an online merchant account provider, because they are more likely to offer their services to beginners than financial colossuses such as banks. They, of course, charge fees for transactions, but usually no bigger than 0.30 dollars. Also try searching for independent sales organizations that can provide the same services.

t is quite noticeable that our global market have made great advancements towards greater technology. One of the major contributions of the technological progress is online banking. Several banking institutions offer online banking options and one of the most popular choices of online banking is creating an Internet savings account.

What are Internet saving accounts exactly?

Well, Internet savings accounts are the alternative to an instant savings account. If you create an Internet savings account then it is linked to your normal checking account, thereby giving you an easy access from your online savings account to your checking account. By virtue of this, the money that you deposit in your checking account can be easily transferred to your savings account and vice versa. This can be done either online or via phone.

Owing to the low overhead costs, there are several financial organizations that offer higher interest rates to the Internet savings account holder and this is the biggest reason why more and more people are opening an Internet savings account for themselves and their families.

So, if you are still in two minds about opening an Internet savings account, take my advice, go for it. Not only you will enjoy higher interest rates ( compared to what you get with a traditional saving account) but also you will be entitled to lots of other benefits. Read on to find out what they are.

The renowned online bankers offer perks to the online account holders in order to stay ahead of the ever growing competition in the banking industry. The perks include lucrative investment options, checks, debit cards, various loan options etc.

One thing you must know about Internet savings account is that the interest rate is calculated on a daily basis, paid monthly and can vary from day to day. The biggest advantage of having such a savings account is that you can have free access to your account from the very comfort of your own bedroom at any time you want. Yes you don’t have to worry about commuting to your bank, standing in the queue to monitor your account.

Internet savings accounts are ideal for people who want to save their hard earned money. The best thing about creating an online savings account is that you can open your account with as low as one dollar (which is not possible, if you want to open traditional bank accounts)

It’s true that there are no time restrictions as to when you can deposit or withdraw money from your Internet account, however, bear in mind that there is no interest on the full balance account in the month when you withdraw money from your account.

Since these accounts are all on the Internet, so it doesn’t matter where you are based. Therefore, an internet savings account saves you from the hurdle of going through all the formal procedures of closing or transferring an account(like what you have to with a traditional bank account)when you are relocating.

To conclude, an Internet savings account is the best option to multiply your savings in a short span of time. So go ahead and open an Internet savings account today and enjoy the luxury of a mobile bank account to last you a lifetime through.

One of the most common ways to get a penalty charge from your credit card company is if you fail to pay your credit card monthly statement on time. Therefore, if you are finding that you are being charged with a lot of penalty charges on your card or cards, one of the first things you will need to start doing is making sure your card statement is paid on time each month.

Some people are naturally more organised than others. This will never change. Some of us are able to say with safety that every month we sit down with our checkbook and balance it, pay all our bills, write all the checks and have everything in order. Others of us however, are a little more haphazard than this. We pay bills as they arrive, or put them somewhere we feel they are safe and hope we don’t forget about them, like on the kitchen fridge, and then when we get a chance or feel in the mood, we pay the bill off.

One of the best ways to pay your credit card bill, and one of the surest ways to make sure you are no longer slapped with unwelcome late fees and charges, is to arrange with your bank to have the bill payed automatically each month by direct debit or standing order. This way you can be sure that the bill will always be paid. Of course, what you will have to do is make sure that you have enough money in your bank account each months so that your bank does not allow the credit card company to leave you high and dry with out enough money to pay off all your other bills. What’s worse, what actually could happen is that the credit card bill is for even more than you have available in your account so that your account becomes over drawn and your bank charges you a penalty for this.

If you are not confident that you will have enough money in your bank account each month to pay the entire bill in full, another option is to instruct the credit card company that you only wish to pay the minimum amount each month. While this means that you are more likely to have enough funds in your account to cover the payment, it also means that you will pay a lot of interest on your balance and it will take a very long time to clear your debt.

Probably the best compromise is to pay a set amount each month that, while more than the minimum payment, is still not so high that you will be left short for your other payments.

Statistics show the stress of life and poor food choices are leading to ballooning weights. Liposuction is a popular method of reducing weight, but it will also reduce your bank account.

Liposuction: Sucking Money Out of Your Bank Account

A big consideration for many people who are looking to undergo plastic surgery is the expense. All procedures that fall under this type of surgery are usually not covered by health insurance. When deciding to have plastic surgery, you’ll need to know how much you will be spending. The expense of liposuction is especially important, as it is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures.

Liposuction is a procedure used to remove unwanted fat from areas of the body that cannot be treated by other means. The fat is vacuumed out through a small tube called a cannula, which is worked through a tiny incision in your skin. One of the first considerations in the expense of liposuction surgery is the area you are going to have worked on. Depending on the size of the area and the amount of fatty material needing to be removed, the price will vary. Most of the time, the more removal required, the higher the price of the liposuction. This is usually because it takes more time.

The expense of liposuction will also be different depending on the number of areas you want to have addressed. The first area in a liposuction procedure will often be the most expensive, with additional areas being less expensive because you have already paid for the facility, instrument, doctor and other fees.

Also to be factored into the expense is where the liposuction surgery will be performed. If you need to have your procedure done in a hospital versus in the plastic surgery office, there will be additional fees for the use of the hospital facility, and recovery rooms for the duration of your hospital stay. The expense of liposuction will also depend on what part of the country you are in. Some doctors in bigger cities or more popular plastic surgery areas will charge more money than surgeons in other locations. Frankly, it is because they can get it.

Finally, you want to find out what is included in the fee. Many doctors offer a “flat fee” that covers the procedure as well as pre-operative appointments and post-operative checkups. Other doctors will bill these items separately, so when pricing procedures, be sure to keep this in mind. One doctor may seem more expensive than the other, but if everything is included, it might actually even out.

In general, the expense of liposuction should run from $2,000 to $7,000. These figures, however, can vary wildly depending on what exactly is to be done and the part of the country you are in.

Sometimes you open your bank statement and you get a nasty shock. Not only has the cheque you wrote for the last utility bill bounced, but your bank has charged you for the privilege. And it’s not the first time it’s happened, so your previously spotless credit rating could be in danger.

When cheques bounce it doesn’t always mean that someone has acted in bad faith. Instead, a bounced cheque may be caused by the vagaries of the cheque clearing system.

How Cheque Clearing Works

Cheque clearing works like this. A cheque is paid into a bank account. That bank contacts the issuing bank to ask them to honour the cheque. If the bank says there are enough funds to cover the cheque, the cheque clears. It there are insufficient funds, the cheque bounces. This is all done by computer.

Consider this example. Mr Smith writes a cheque to Miss Jones, who pays it into her bank account immediately. Ms Jones assumes that the money is now in her account and writes a cheque to pay her utility bill. Unknown to Ms Jones, Mr Smith does not have enough money in his account to cover the amount of the cheque he has written. When Ms Jones’ bank tries to get the money from Mr Smith’s bank the cheque is refused. Mr Smith’s cheque bounces and so does Ms Jones’.

Cheques can take several working days to clear. The clearing period can be anywhere between three and seven working days. Factors that affect cheque clearing include:

1. The day of the week on which the cheque is paid in. A cheque paid in on a traditional non-banking day, such as a Saturday may take longer to clear than a cheque that is paid in on a weekday.
2. The bank that the cheque is paid into. Cheques usually clear quickest when they are drawn on the same bank they are being paid into. Some building societies also take longer to clear cheques
3. Whether the cheques are in the same currency.

Clearing Foreign Currency Cheques

Cheques that are drawn on a foreign bank may take even longer to clear. Some banks will treat a cheque in, for example, US dollars, like a regular cheque. They will assume the cheque will clear and will credit the right amount to your bank account, less any foreign transaction fees.

Other banks are more wary and will wait for the whole clearing process to complete before crediting your bank account. This could take up to six weeks as cheques effectively have to clear two banking systems.

Avoiding Charges For Bounced Cheques

The best way to avoid bouncing a cheque is to be aware of what is happening in your bank account. Check account balances and be aware of the dates on which standing orders and direct debits are going out. If there are payments waiting to go out, you may have less money available than you think. When in doubt, check bank statements or ring or email your bank for an update.

Q: I use PayPal to accept credit cards for my online collectibles business. I recently received an email that my PayPal account was going to expire in five days if I didn’t click a link in the email and give them my PayPal account information. Being naturally paranoid I decided not to give this information and I’m happy to say that my PayPal account did not expire. Was this a scam? — Brenda A.

A: Be thankful that your paranoia kicked in, Brenda, because you were about to fall victim to the scam of the week, this one aimed at the 35 million merchants and individuals who use Paypal.com as their online payment processor.

The email you received was not from PayPal, but from an Internet bad guy behind a forged email address using the PayPal.com domain. You should understand that no reputable online company will ever ask you to provide your account information. Think about it. They already have this information. Why would they ask you to provide it.

Since I use PayPal for several of my online ventures, I, too, received the email in question. The email first seeks to instill fear in you by saying that your PayPal account will be closed if you do not provide personal information. You are then directed to open an attached executable file and enter your PayPal account information and other personal information that PayPal doesn’t even require, including your social security number, checking and savings account information, driver’s license number, and other personal information that can be used to clean out your PayPal account and perhaps even steal your identity.

If you’re not familiar with PayPal, it is a hugely successful, web-based company (purchased by eBay in 2002) that many online retailers and eBay sellers use to accept electronic payments for everything from newsletter subscriptions to consulting services to just about any product for sale on eBay.

The allure of PayPal is that it does not require the seller to have a bank merchant account through which to process credit cards. Anyone with a verifiable email address and bank account can use PayPal and the service can be implemented almost immediately after registering.

When someone places an order on a website that uses PayPal for online payments, that customer is directed to PayPal.com to complete the payment process using a credit card or electronic check. The merchant can transfer the money collected in his PayPal account to his checking account any time he likes. Since many larger merchants make this transfer just once a week or so, their PayPal accounts are ripe for the picking from those who have the cunning and lack of ethics required to gain access.

The shear number of PayPal customers is one reason it has become a popular target of scam artists trying to steal personal information from individuals and businesses alike.

Identify theft is on the rise. Thanks to the Internet stealing someone’s identity has never been easier. At any given moment, there are any number of Internet thieves using all manner of high tech wizardry to steal personal and business information from unsuspecting souls, and many times they can gain access to this information simply by asking the person to provide it through fraudulent means.

The PayPal scam is just the latest in a long line of sophisticated attempts to steal personal information through online means, Amazon, eBay, Dell Computer, and many others have been the brunt of many such scams in recent years.

Identity theft is what’s known as a knowledge crime, which means that the criminal doesn’t have to break into your house to rob you blind. If you have a bank account and a social security number, you are susceptible to identity theft.

While most people are familiar with identity theft, most business men and women never think about it happening to them, at least on a professional level. Consider this: if a criminal can learn your business checking account number or the number of your company credit card, they can steal far more from your business than if they had simply knocked down the door and carted off your desk.

The Internet aside, most business and personal identity theft is still the result of stolen wallets and dumpster diving. You should guard your business records closely and be very careful what you throw away. Stop and think for a moment what a criminal might find in the dumpster behind your office.

There’s a good chance that dumpster has, at various times, contained scraps of paper with your social security number, driver’s license number, credit card number, old ATM cards, telephone calling cards, and other pieces of vital business information like bank statements, invoices, and purchase orders. A dumpster-diving thief could literally rob your business blind in a matter of hours.

Here are a few ways to protect yourself from business and personal identity theft.

* Never give out your first name, last name, business name, email address, account passwords, credit card numbers, bank account information, PIN number, social security number, or driver’s license number.

* Change your online account passwords every 30 days. Believe it or not, a hacker who steals your personal information can guess your online account passwords in about two minutes. If your Charles Schwab online account password is your birthday or the name of your first born or family pet, count on a hacker cracking that code faster than you can say ‘Bill Gates.’

* Never provide personal information in response to an email or telephone call. Just because someone calls and says they are from Dunn & Bradstreet and need to confirm your business information does not mean they are really from Dunn & Bradstreet.

* Never give your business credit card number over the phone to place an order with someone who has called you unsolicited. If you are interested in what they are selling get their number, check out their company, then call them back to place the order.

If you think that you have become the victim of identity theft or think someone is trying to steal your identity or personal information you should report them immediately to the Federal Trade Commission. You will find more information on their website at http://www.consumer.gov/idtheft/. For more information on what to do if identity theft happens to you visit http://www.privacyrights.org/fs/fs17a.htm.

So, if you ever receive an email from PayPal, Amazon, eBay, or any other ecommerce website asking you to update your account information by email you can pretty much bet the farm that it is a scam.

In business, as in life, a little paranoia is a good thing.

The day you open a bank account is a very significant day. It’s the day you take your first steps towards financial responsibility. It’s also the day that your credit report is created – and unlike your bank, your credit report will be with you for the rest of your life.

Your credit report consists of financial data stored with a credit reference agency. Equifax and Experian are the largest and best known. Your credit report will affect whether you can get loans, credit cards, mortgages and other financial products. It will affect credit in retail outlets as well. That’s why it’s very important to keep your credit report looking good. Here are some tips to help you get a good credit score.

Keep On Banking

Banking history is an important aspect of any credit report. It shows financial responsibility. Banks check your credit too, so if you have a cheque account, an approved overdraft, a savings account and a credit card from your bank, lenders will increase your credit score. What’s more, the longer you stay with the same bank, the better that portion of the credit score gets.

It can be tempting to change bank accounts to take advantage of preferential interest rates or account incentives. The best approach is to keep and use your original bank account, even if you manage the bulk of your finances elsewhere.

Be Responsible

Responsibility comes in many forms. Credit checkers score older people more highly than young ones. They also score homeowners more highly than tenants. People who are living at home will not score well on this aspect of the credit file. Lenders are hoping to see the profile of a responsible citizen. Someone who owns a home is less likely to disappear and leave bad debt behind.

Another aspect of being responsible is being on the electoral roll. This means that your local authority has a record of where you live. It also makes it easier for lenders to look up your address details. If they can’t find your address, they may hesitate before lending money.

Make sure you have a telephone at home. This is a sign that you have successfully passed a credit check and that you have paid your bills on time. Lenders will see this as another way of showing responsibility.

Manage Your Credit

Another key way to improve your credit rating is to get some credit. This can be a store card, credit card, loan or other form of credit. Whichever you choose, the trick is to manage it well. That means making payments on time and in full, no defaults, no arrears and definitely no CCJs. Managing existing credit well looks good on your credit report and makes you a good risk for further credit.

Good credit history, responsible banking and traceability will help to improve anyone’s credit report. And if you have got bad credit there are still many loan and credit products available to you. If you manage those well, then you could be on your way to a better credit report.

Having a credit card is a great thing indeed, although most are hard to obtain for those who have a less than perfect credit history. The restrictions for getting most credit cards are so tough that those who have bad credit may find it nearly impossible to get a credit card, or they find themselves hit with extremely high APR rates, and find it hard to compete with the interest.

For those who have less than perfect credit or no bank account, there is hope. There are credit cards known as no bank account cards, that can help those with bad credit. These types of credit cards are quite easy to obtain, and they can actually help you to get your credit back and track and live the life you’ve always dreamed of.

Credit cards of this type are pre-loaded, meaning that the credit limit you have it what you load onto the card, by pre payment. If you want to control your spending and know how much you have, this credit card is what you need. They are also great for those who want to learn about managing money as well. Another great thing about these cards is the fact that they will give you power and convenience of a credit card - yet they will allow you to live within the means of your income as well.

Before you rush and get one of these credit cards, you should first look around and find the best deal possible. Most no bank account credit cards offer you same rewards and incentives of traditional credit cards, along with online access to your account. The best cards are accepted across the world, and offer you ATM access for instant cash. If a card doesn’t offer you these types of features, you should pass it by and look for one that does.

Other things to look for with no bank account credit cards include low APR rates, no annual fees, and excellent customer support. Customer support is very important with these types of credit cards, as you don’t want a card that doesn’t offer you great customer support. If you encounter a problem, you want a company that is going to be there when it matters the most.

If you take your time and research no bank account credit cards, you’ll find one that you can’t refuse. There are many to choose from, especially if you look online. You should always compare features and rates, and look for companies that offer you cards with excellent features and low rates. This way, you can get everything you love from traditional credit cards - without having to worry about your credit or needing to have a bank account.

You can find the best choice of credit cards and pre-paid cards at www.CreditCards.us (http://www.creditcards.us)

Almost every salaried person requires monetary help for some urgency. such help can be availed through personal cash loans, which are carved out especially for the purpose of providing a hurdle-free loan without any delay. However, you must ensure that the loan does not become a burden for you.

These loans are usually approved within hours. The loaned amount is dispatched electronically to the borrower’s account within 24 hours. However, to qualify for these loans, you must be having a job that pays you fixed monthly salary. You should also have an active bank checking account. Only adult people of 18 years of age or above are eligible for borrowing the money.

Depending on your monthly salary, you can borrow anywhere from 100 to 1500, under these loans, without offering any security to the lenders. You can give permission to the lender to get back the loaned amount from your bank account on the due date. Approval of the loan is given for two weeks. You can repay the loan from next paychque, or you have the option of extending it for a month.

Personal cash loans involve expensive financial charges, which typically are around 30 on each 100 that you borrow. Furthermore, the charges are enhanced exorbitantly once you choose to extend the loan.

A bad credit history is not an impediment, as these loans are approved without any credit checks on the borrowers.

It is prudent to make a comparison of different lenders, who are offering personal cash loans. You may come across a deal that has comparatively lower financial charges. Ensure that you have enough money in your bank account, so that you can repay the loan without extending it. These loans are also a tool of improving your credit rating once you have repaid the amount on time.

Sometimes an unexpected bill has to be paid immediately, or you may need money for repairing your car. Situations like these can be met through taking out emergency cash loans. These especial loans provide timely money to the salaried people. But they must take care in borrowing the money, or they may be trapped in debts.

One main attraction is that these loans are usually approved without many enquiries. Hence, the approval comes within hours. Generally, the loaned amount is received in the borrower’s bank account, within 24 hours.

The sole eligibility for the approval is that the borrower must be drawing a fixed monthly paycheque, for at least past six months. Besides, the borrower’s age must be 18 years or above, with an active bank checking account in his or her name.

Depending on the monthly salary, one can borrow anywhere from £100 to £1500. These are short-term loans, with the approval being for two weeks only. You can repay the borrowed amount from next paycheque.

Usually, emergency cash loans are given on taking a post-dated cheque from the borrower. Or, you can ask the lender to withdraw the loaned amount on the due date from your bank account.

But, be informed that there is a very high interest rate to be paid on these loans. The rate of interest goes many times higher than the rate on any other loans. Often, as a result of extending the repayment, which involves even more payments of interest, the salaried people end-up in debts. They find repaying the loan highly burdensome after few more weeks. Therefore, opt for these loans only when finding the money is not possible from elsewhere.

Bad credit borrowers can get these loans without any credit checks. They can improve their rating on repaying the loan on time. Make a good search for emergency cash loans. Some of these loans can be availed at lower rate of interest.
